Radar Terrain Water Ski
The Radar Terrain Water Ski is purpose-built for open water enthusiasts seeking stability, efficiency, and smooth carving in a wide range of conditions. As part of Radar's Open Water series, the Terrain incorporates increased surface area to provide enhanced support and floatation. This added volume assists with easy deep-water starts and keeps the ski gliding effortlessly on top of the water, reducing fatigue and improving ride consistency.
The Terrain stands out with its flat spine design and the integration of updated Grip Rails 2.0, which help the ski engage with the water more naturally and predictably. These design elements work together to reduce drag and promote clean, flowing turns. Whether carving large arcs across glassy conditions or taking on the slalom course at a relaxed pace, the Terrain responds with control and confidence.
Lightweight carbon fiber laminates and a forgiving core structure give the Terrain an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making it easy to maintain speed and handle with minimal effort. This design philosophy encourages both progression and enjoyment, allowing skiers to explore open water with a renewed sense of ease and stability.
Key Features
- All-Terrain Core – Designed for maximum forgiveness, the All-Terrain Core offers consistent support across various water surfaces. It helps to dampen vibration and allows for a more comfortable ride, especially during extended sessions in open water.
- 100% Carbon Fiber – Constructed with full carbon fiber laminates, the Terrain provides consistent flex characteristics and reliable structural integrity. This lightweight material ensures responsive handling while maintaining the durability needed for repeated use.
- Grip Rails 2.0 – Enhanced edge engagement comes from the updated Grip Rails 2.0. These rails help the ski hold its edge cleanly through turns, offering better tracking and reduced effort when changing direction or cutting across wakes.
- Wider Body with Flat Spine – The increased surface area and unique flat spine design contribute to better floatation and improved balance. This shape allows the ski to ride higher on the water, making deep starts easier and turns smoother with less drag.
- Straight Line Stability – The Terrain features a geometry that supports long, flowing arcs and smooth transitions. Its straight lines make it especially suitable for open water carving while still capable of course-style precision for intermediate-level skiing.
Flat Spot
Open Water skis sport an oversized flat spot which allow the skis to auto-level. Skiers of any ability level can hop on a Session or Terrain and feel instantly at home due to its balance on the water.
Straight Lines
The straight lines built into the Open Water series allow the ski to carve more continuously and let the ski roll on edge more naturally. This combined with our updated grip rails make for the most effortless and smooth lines you’ve ever dreamed of skiing.
Grip Rails 2.0
The evolution of our grip rails was aimed to allow the ski to engage much easier. These angled rails also force water to the center of the ski increasing lift and decreasing drag. What you’ll feel is effortless flow and ease of turning.
Level Spine
Open Water skis have a flat spine directly down the center of the ski. This allows water to flow cleanly down the center, reducing drag and making it possible to make endless turns without tiring out.
